Please reply if you're in Washingto D.C. area, with a priority date in June 2005 and haven't received the fingerprint notice yet.
My N400 PD is 6/29/05. I read postings that some people with similar PD received their FP notices in 1 month, while I'm still waiting after more than 2 months...
The city I moved to is in the same district and same state as my old place. So I met the "90-day residence in a district or state" requirement when I filed N400.
Could you answer my original question that should I use AR-11 or call the CIS customer center to report the address change? And...
I moved to another city a few days BEFORE I filed N-400. On the N-400 I used my new address as "current home/mailing address". I need to notify CIS about this address change. Shall I use form AR-11 or call the 800 number?
Also, AR-11 asks about "port of entry into U.S.". Should it be the...
OCworker, thanks for your reply.
I misused the word "story" :) It was not a "story" but exactly what happened. Instead of writing a long explanation about the ticket, I wanted to give a brief one, because: 1) there's no enough space on N400; and 2) I doubt if USCIS officer really wants to...
"Outcome" of a traffic ticket
I hope somebody can help me on this: I'm going to disclose on N400 a minor traffic ticket I had, but not sure how to answer "Outcome or disposition of the arrest, citation, detention or charge". This is what happened to the ticket: I went to the traffic court...
I read from the CIS flyer that I shall provide two "passport style" photographs along with the N-400 application. My questions are:
1) the size of the photos is 2" x 2", correct?
2) the Naturalization Guide (M-476) states that "... be sure there is enough white space in the margin of the...

I\'m waiting for the card too. I learned from other people\'s postings that you check the status by calling VSC phone system (use same phone# and EAC#). if the process is done and card is ordered, the message should be updated. but it may take one month or more after the stamp.

usually it takes one week or so to receive the notice. I received the courtesy copy in one week, and my lawyer received the original notice 3 days later.
you\'ll get yours soon, maybe tonight when you open the mailbox (-:

mrk,
The local INS office will send your files (I89, photo..) back to VSC, and VSC process, order and send out the plastic card. so you should contact VSC for any card-related questions.

Yes. If you showed your AP & EAD to the immigration officer when you came back from foreign country, your H1 is invalidated and you can only work on EAD from then.
If you want to keep your H1 status, you need to stamp your H1 visa and use it to enter instead of using AP.

To my understanding, your H1 is still valid as long as you don\'t use your EAD. "use EAD" means you go to your HR and file a new I-9 form to indicate that you\'ll now work on EAD, then this will invilidate your H1.

EZ,
I\'m waiting for the approval letter too (approved on 9/14 per phone msg). I think you\'ll receive a courtesy copy of Approval Notice while your lawyer receives the original one. Some INS offices accept the courtesy copy for stamping, so you don\'t need to wait for your lawyer...
Checked VSC phone message last night, and heard (finally!) the sweet words "This case has been approved.." for both my husband\'s and my I-485. Thank God !!!

Congratulations buba! happy to see old case get approved ..
two questions:
1. Did you receive a RFE letter?
2. Did you contact senator/congressman regarding your case?
thank you!
For people who ever wrote to Congressman,
I have several questions:
1) In the letter, how did you convince them that your case is overdue, did you list the VSC official process time or other resources to prove that?
2) Is it OK to write to multiple congressmen?
3) In your case, how...
After seeing a lot of 7/99 & 8/99 approvals, I begin to get worried: my RD is 7/1/99 and ND 7/22/99, no approval, no RFE yet. Called IIO twice but only got useless replies as "this case is still pending ...".
If your ND is July 99 and no approval yet, please post your detail. Do...
