I called twice to verify my address change. They do not verify over phone. All they say is to wait for 45 days for confirmation (postal)mail to arrive!:mad:

I got EAD for 2 years. I had applied in mid of June 08 and approved week back. I was thinking I may get for only 1 year since they changed from July. Also, renewal takes from the approval date not from the previous expiry date!

By looking at last EAD reciept (I-797C, Notice of Action). If Amount received shows $180 then unfortunately you have to pay $340 :mad: correct me know if I am wrong.

I have similar question. What happens when one travels with the AP which is going to expire in a month or two (hoping to return before expiry) but meanwhile applied for renewal and get approved while out of US? any conflicts?

I applied for AP around 2nd week of August 2007 at NSC and got approval on first week of Jan 2008.

Hey Cool_desi_gc, did you get ur EAD corrected? I had to send the application again with fees and I got the reciept but no new EAD yet! more than 75 days now! btw, can one use the EAD having typo/error on it meanwhile waiting for the new one?
