That should be theoritically(as per the USCIS website) but not happening these days! Lot of applications are still pending having older dates than processing date!!
..cos they could not digest what they had! It was a biggest mistake I would say they did by opening the large window for PDs! Since many application were recvd during July-Aug 2007 and they lost the track of it! This created lot of chaos since approvals coming in random fashion. Now, its hard...
I called twice to verify my address change. They do not verify over phone. All they say is to wait for 45 days for confirmation (postal)mail to arrive!
I got EAD for 2 years. I had applied in mid of June 08 and approved week back. I was thinking I may get for only 1 year since they changed from July. Also, renewal takes from the approval date not from the previous expiry date!
Hey Ram,
Eddy and I asked the same question but you did not understand.
Anyway, I looked at murthys site and checked the bulletin, it happend in June 2008.
( three months of forward movement for India and China in the EB2 category since the last update! )
That means Ram got his GC...
Hey Ram !
Congratulations! could you tell me how long it took to receive GC from the day your PD became current ? [ i know it varies from case to case but curious to get an idea ]
thanks in advance.
By looking at last EAD reciept (I-797C, Notice of Action). If Amount received shows $180 then unfortunately you have to pay $340
correct me know if I am wrong.
I have similar question.
What happens when one travels with the AP which is going to expire in a month or two (hoping to return before expiry) but meanwhile applied for renewal and get approved while out of US? any conflicts?
Hey Cool_desi_gc,
did you get ur EAD corrected?
I had to send the application again with fees and I got the reciept but no new EAD yet! more than 75 days now!
btw, can one use the EAD having typo/error on it meanwhile waiting for the new one?
Hi,
If visitor visa is rejected for the first time on 214(b) basis, do they need to go personally to (chennai) consulate to reapply? or they can just send the documents to consulate? I am not sure one has to face interview for the 2nd time or is it a necessary?
I heard some people...
Nanoboy,
you had mentioned "typo reported-name spelled incorrectly"! Was it in EAD? how did you correct it? whats the process you followed? please let me know.
thanks,
Has anyone seen typo/mistake in their EAD card and asked for correction? Please share your experience on how to correct it and how long it takes in NSC etc.
Appreciate your kind response.
