Received the dependent EAD card today.

I called on Monday and did the expedite request, I was told to send an expedite request via Fax, sent it on the same day, today I received an email card production ordered.

you never know when and where USCIS would mess up your application, well also you never know how each IO handles the application, you are right those extra nonsense are not required as long as you get your parole approved, If you dont get your parole in time you dont want to sit and cry about...

inspite of providing all the docs and proper fees, they did incorrectly reject my case because of their error. It's better to provide all the docs and avoid any RFE's later, god knows how long they take to approve AP.

The requirements to expedite an AP is posted in USCIS website, they need documentation which establishes emergency such as death in family / wedding / etc. The situation for an emergency is defined by USCIS, for ex, death in family is real emgency for which they need proof of death certificate...

ok received the EAD card today 10/26 "this application has been approved" 10/27 "card production ordered" 11/02 "apprval notice sent" 11/05 received the EAD card

so far, I have renewed my EAD 5 times all paper based, not even once I was called for FP, most of my friends who paper file have never received FP notice on EADs, like u said may be u r blessed by USCIS. May be you did e-file once, so this could have had a trigger on the FP
