Applies to whomever intending to go to any Indian consulate for fresh stamping/renewal of any kind of visa:
There is a new administrative process named PIMS (Petition information management system), which has been introduced from December 2007... this is causing a major delay in returning...
Beware Of Pims!
Hi Arjun,
Please be aware that if you get your visa approved, you may face an acute delay in receiving the passport because of PIMS check.
And mostly, its the L1, H1 renewals that bear the brunt!
Regards,
NK
Consulates dont give proper information
No one can know whether they are in PIMS or not.. some people say that the Canadian consulates, lets candidates update their PIMS through some form... I am not sure how far this is true.
I am a case which is waiting for passport ever since Jan 16th...
My husband's petition just got approved....
....We had almost given up hopes... but it turned out to be a great relief when we heard from our employer that he has been selected in the lottery.
So there is still some hope guys! Hang on, and wait as it unfolds.
The wait is menacing.. We are not able to go ahead with our alternate plans because of this indefinite wait for h1b approvals.. This is really menacing..
How long would it take for the USCIS to pput up the results of selection in the internet, and requested to see our status some search...
I have still not heard ...!!
any news about my husband's petition... The company is keeping mum....
Is it that all the approvals have been sent and what we should be receiving now is rejects??
I sincerely pray and hope that my husband's application gets through like mine!
Hi,
Yesterday I received a mail from my lawyer who filed my petition. He sent a copy of my LCA (with some stamps), and he asked me to keep it safely. Dont know whether this is a positive result of my H1B application status. I've asked this question in reply to him.
