If we send the documents for AC140 with I-824 receipt and consulate creates the case, what does it say on NVC AVM when we enter our I-140 number? Do we get any info from NVC AVM before the I-824 approval but after the consulate creates the case? I mean does the consulate that created the case...

But.... The Mumbai consulate web page does not say that we need to send G-28 for the AC-140 process...Does everybody send it? Is it OK if we take it with us at the time of interview?

Me too....possibly..... Got an email from the lawyer - received the receipt notice for my I-824. The ND is 11/7. Will send the papers for AC140 today.

Raj.... That\'s true but previously there used to be a gap between getting the receipt for I-824 and the approval, creation of case at NVC. But now we are seeing the approval with a week of the physical receipt of the I-824 . Also, VSC sends the cases pretty fast to NVC whereas posts are not...

AC-140 Sri Ganesh, Raj Bhatnagar etc..as I understand, you have sent the documents for AC-140 and I-824 is also approved. Will the consulate and NVC both create a case for your application? Do they communicate before creating a case and verify that the case is not created by the other one yet...

Check cashed around 7th Nov. but no receipt yet for I-824.... Any ideas what can I do in this situation. Called IIO and got the case #. She said they can\'t mail the receipt again. Can I write just a letter to consulate with AC-140 papers explaining this? Can I do AC-140 with I-824...

Thanks for the reply.....but.... the company was acquired and the new company is a successor in interest. Are there any standard documents for this or is it must to file I-140 amendment?
