G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative. Basically, you agree that an attorney will represent you.

The Mumbai consulate web page does not say that we need to send G-28 for the AC-140 process...Does everybody send it? Is it OK if we take it with us at the time of interview?

G-28 is not required

Irrespective of whether somebody uses it or not, the underlying truth is G-28 is not required unless you want your CP presented by an immigration lawyer. I used it as its a free service to me and doesn\'t hurt. But IT IS NOT REQUIRED if you don\'t want any attorney to present the case.

AND it is not required to have attorney representation for CP cases. You can do it all by yourself.

I would also request fellow board users to not consider something is required just because you followed that procedure.
