hi there,
my girlfriend from Tashkent came to America with her daughter 2 weeks ago. Apparently things didn't work out and so she left with some of my Russian friends.
I am still responsible for her well-being through the form I-134. What does that entail?
thanks, AW
My girlfriend and her daughter from Tashkent have arrived in the United States finally. I presume that they will need to file the I-485 forms in order to work. The thing is that they will receive their green cards soon through the mail, so I assume that the I-485 is or isn't necessary for work...
Hi folks,
My girlfriend had her consulate interview back on Feburary 13th, 2007 and she just called up the embassy in Tashkent last week and they told her that they would be contacting her when the visa is ready.
I guess that I feel rather stunned at the month. She was told that...
Yeah, well I'm going to wait until it's definite that she didn't get the visa but I'm sure by May everything will be fine. Pretty confident.
Any tips? :)
Yeah, I would like to avoid the K-1 due to the amount of time more that it will take! :(
Indeed, had a tough weekend since my internet is down at home. And she was somewhat depressed.
They didn't take her passport yet. Just only the papers actually at the embassy (birth certificates, I-134, etc. etc.) I don't know why 3 months honestly that's the grave mystery of it all.
They...
So, in reality, the administrative processing is going to vary from country to country. I think that currently places like in Tehran or Baghdad will probably have the longest AP of the embassies?
The medical results have to be submitted before the interview is conducted I believe. It's necessary to pass it or the visa can't be issued accordingly.
That I do not know honestly. In fact, I did consult various immigration lawyers and as a sponsor I feel rather powerless to help her out. I can't even file a mandamus for AP like say a K-1/K-3 visa.
It is very normal to go through AP for a long time particularly depending on which country you...
My girlfriend's examinations took only about a week long, happened about 3 weeks before the interview.
It's more frustrating to deal with the post-interview AP/AR process however. For me I've been feeling rather despondent over just waiting day by day for some result of finality (visa...
My girlfriend is in Tashkent actually (I'm already here in the US all of my life) is undergoing CP or more like AR/AP (administrative processing)...
You can reschedule the date actually and ironically I had shipped out various copies of the I-134 to her which didn't come until after the...
The second package I believe includes info on getting police records, medical records, I-134, etc. etc.
It's necessary to get all of these and then set up an appt for an interview at the consulate.
