Approved After 7+ years Just got approval email. My PD was November 2001. Applied for 485 on October, 2006, and was stuck in name check for two years. There was no RFP in my case. My was EB3 and ROW. Good luck to all of you who are waiting.

Yes, there is a difference. I had been stuck in both seperately. Background check is basically on your 485 itself. It can be as pain as the name check, as far as I know.

You mean your company got a call from them?

They are neither going with PD nor RD... It is not even random. They are just approving new cases... thats all...Otherwise, how could people like us who are sitting for 7+ years with PD current for years and old RDs are not being approved?

After applying for 485 on October 2006, for the first very time I saw an LUD on my case today. Don't know what's cooking................ My PD is Nov 2001, EB3 and ROW. :-)

sfmars, You should check trackit. Even today, TCS approved about 10 June/Jule 07 cases. If the cases that are on trackitt are only 1% of the total cases, you could use your own imagination. :-)

You should open an SR. That may result in your case being picked up.

I don't get it, your PD seems to be current, then why can't you be marked for approval by USCIS?

May I ask what were you told at the info pass? I have mine in a couple of days, so want to know what is their standard reply?

My wife's EAD also got approved today. It was e-filed on January 8th at TCS. We gave FP and picture on Feb 01. So it took around 60 days for her. Mine is still pending.

Their answers are very inconsistent. I have kind of similar dates as you have, with FP expired. I was told this morning that I will be getting a new FP notice in a few weeks. My first FPs were done in November 2006. I don't understand why they re-process FPs for some people and re-issue notice...
