My take on this
Once your 485 is filed any particular employr ceases to be the owner of the process. You own all the docs like 485/EAD/AP etc.,
Do you have to inform the new employer about your GC?
No need but no harm either.
Would you need supporting docs in case of another RFE?
Cant...
We recieved our cards
We (my wife and me) got our PP stamped in last week of May and by mid of August we got the card. We got our pp stamped at Norfolk,VA
Thanks and Regards
Raj
Apologize for asking a non-485 related question here.
We received our GC approval by end of May . In the 1st week of June my wife and kid had left to India. My wife had to submit a thesis for her PhD program. It so appears that she wouldn’t be back before Feb of 2004.
I would appreciate...
My understanding is that its more important to call up VSC to update your new address, than split hair on the entries in this form. I believe these forms which goes to Kentucky take their own sweet time to reach the desk of IIO. Perhap by then you would be approved
Thanks

You are in status
RamPrak,
As long as you 485 is being processed, you are in status. EAD gives your employer to emply you , in case your H1 has expired( assuming you were on H1 at the time of filing 485).
Hope this helps
Raj
My observations have no legal sanctity
Stamping deatails

Hi Everybody ,
i recd my Permanent Resident card yesterday in mail. On 16th of this month, I saw the online msg had changed from Approved to card ordered. My wife too recd the card. Here are our details
RD : Nov 2001
ND : Dec 2001
EAD: Jan 2002
Renewed EAD : Feb 2003
RFE : 17th April...
I beg to differ
In my case only my Lawyer recieved the RFE. As per some posts on this site this had been the case with others too. FP you might right, Jay.
Raj
Yes, I have eperience of recieving RFE . They come to your lawyer who send you and your company a copy. YOu reply to BCIS thru your lawyer. But you are , i think, confusing RFE with re-FP . re-FP I understand comes to the individual as well as the lawyer, I am not sure. In any case why are you...
Dont loose your sleep
A said by others , EAD/AP has nothing to do with your status. As soon as your 485 was recieved and fees accepted after due verifiction, you are on AOS . Till your(and your dependants) case is adjudicated you will remain in AOS. YOu may or may not renew your EAD/AP ...
Go for option 1
Lets look at it this way. You go for option 1. File your papers
a. Right at the begining BCIS checks for req docs and sends an RFE for BC. They will hold your case till you reply. (This would be simillar to option 2)
b. They go ahead and d the preliminary processing and...
I beg to differ from others
I see that you are with the same employer doing the same job, so should you get a RFE you dont have anything to fear/hesitate. SO go ahead and change your address and file AR 11. Everything should be ok. I did this mistake of having two addresses and after draining...
Thers's a silver lining behind those clouds
Hi,
Since you/your husband have your EAD, you are as good as having your GC excepting for the fact that you need to bother renewing EAD/AP till you get the GC. There is a saying in Telugu whose literal translation would be
'Frequent good luck is...
