    Getting ready to apply

I came in on sep 2000 B1/B2 visa - they gave me a 6 months stay. After that expired I was illegal up until I became a permanent resident. So at the age of 26 I was out of status

    Getting ready to apply

I am starting to look into the citizenship process as I will be applying late December. I am applying based on the 5 years green card rule. Firs, I just want to know if I need to send more proof of bonafide marriage with my citizenship application. In 2009 I successfully removed my green card...

    I751 waiver questions

Ok, I filed the I-751 based on a waiver too. My divorce was final on sep/2008 but I did not file until jan 2009. I got approved without an interview. So I had the divorce decree on my hands 4 months before I filed. Good luck. I think you are fine as long as you file before your CG expires:)

Leaving the country while I-485 is peding

They married in their home country. I guess as a GC holder she would have to wait forever in order to move here to be with him. So, she came with her tourist visa (which she already had even before she met him) and decided to wait until she got her citizenship in order to apply. My point is...

Leaving the country while I-485 is peding

I don't know if she was aware or not but I think when you get a phone call and they tell you your mother died you don't have time to think about those things. Yes it might be wrong, but to me it is just a technical issue. She had already applied for her adjustment of status. I would leave to if...

I understand that she violated the law. But by the time she got married she had a tourist vista, her husband was a GC holder back then and we know that it can take a long time. She decided to live here with her husband and waited to apply by the time he would get his citizenship. She had already...

    Do I need a laywer?

I also applied with a waiver (divorce). I did everything myself and got approved. I didn't send much stuff, but I recommend that you write a nice letter explaining the whole story of your marriage until the divorce. With that and all your usual stuff you should get approved even without an RFE...

No, mine has the same thing on it. It states it is not valid if your residency has been terminated. This is not your case since your application is still processing.
