I have a friend who did not receive approval e-mails nor was the web-site updated to reflect approval, even after he had received his Welcome Notice and card. To this date, I think his case still shows as pending.
There is a slim chance that your case may have been approved, but I would not...
No, I still have not received my card nor the Welcome (Approval) Notice.
On Monday, I received three more e-mails form CRIS saying that the Welcome Notice had been mailed on Nov 3rd and today I received five e-mails (three from CRIS and two from USCIS-CSSO) saying that a Welcome Notice had...
Approved!
When I logged in this morning, I was pleasantly surprised by three e-mails that read:
On November 2, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.
Celebrations are in order- fortunately it's Friday...
Congratulations! My I-485 filing was done after yours and although my I-140 was approved a few days earlier I am assuming that I-485 FD is a factor too. Hopefully my case will be approved soon.
Check out Question 15 in this page http://www.murthy.com/485faq.html#14
Specifically, look at the second paragraph and find reference to 245(k). My interpretation is that this pardons up to 180 days of working without proper
authorization so I believe you should be covered.
Congratulations on your approval! My I-140 was approved one day after yours, so I hope to receive good news soon although I am kind of concerned (see previous posting).
Does the period for which you have to justify employment include only time while you were on H1-B or does it also include the OPT (Optional Practical Training)?
According to the International Student Services Office from the University the OPT was 'on its way' so they told me I could start...
Good for you! We'll be keeping our fingers crossed.
Unfortunately, there is not a USCIS office in the city I live. I would I need to drive for 100+ miles to get the appointment so I will wait a few more days and try the phones first and go from there.
I think I will wait for a reasonable time (30-45 days maybe) to give a chance for the process to work 'on its own' and avoid any unnecessary panicking.
I think I have heard or read somewhere that it was not advisable to 'bug the FBI unnecessarily'. I will enjoy my I-140 approval and wait a...
My experience has been that the USCIS will not send you an e-mail everytime your case is updated. It will only send you e-mails to notify you of RFEs, Approvals or to Confirm Request to Premium Update. You need to go to their web-site to see all other changes to LUD.
I did a google search and found a site suggesting the following alternatives:
* Take Infopass appointment and ask the officer (best option)
* Call USCIS and ask to speak to an Immigration Officer.
* Send email to FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov
* Send fax to FBI
* Call FBI: 304-625-5590 or...
bartolo5:
Is there a tracker for NSC I-485 similar to this one? I have browsed briefly and have not found a thread/tracker that went 'to the point' as this one did.
Can you please provide the link to such thread or wherever it is that you can observe this processing trend?
Thanks.
Passing on the torch
As you can see from my previous posting, my I-140 application has been approved.
I will be still checking the tracker in the next few days in case anybody has a question for me or I can assist in any way, but I think this is a good time to pass on the tracker update...
I-140 Approved!
I have just received three approval e-mails from USCIS notifying me that my I-140 Application has been approved.
This was so fast (see my signature for details) since I upgraded to PPS that I am still in awe. At first I thought for sure it was an RFE notification but all...
Your lawyer should get the receipt notice. This will contain a case number which will allow you to track it at the USCIS web-site (http://www.uscis.gov).
