kamrooz, I looked at some forums from last year (by sushi, vermedeve and others). They were stuck without the name check results untill the last days of the lottery, september 29-30. I talked to my interview officer and he said he can not predict how long does it take, neither he could tell...

    A question to afraid

hmz Thanks! I hope you are right! My impression from nameCheck siyuation is that it is either really quick (my husband had his passport stamped less than two weeks after the fingerprints) or it is really long (months, up till end of September for some people on this forum last year). And i...

    DV2006 and J1 visa

No, the officer at the interview told me to contact him by the end of the month becouse I am planninmg to go abroad and my visa is expired. So I try to wait patiently. My 6-year-old got the letter from USCIS: Welcome to America, my husband did not yet. I am waiting...

    DV2006 and J1 visa

You can schedule an infopass to find out if your FBR background investigation and the Name Check are clear. This seems like a limiting step for the interview in most cases

To: people who already submitted their AOS paperwork: certified translations

They said, that theoretically, it may take many month, but the officer said not to worry now, becouse it is only 2 weeks after the biometrics and probably it is just bureocratical delay. He said that usually, if you were not born in a country that FBI has an interest in, it is not a problem...
