That's awesome.. Some of them don't do their job completely.. We faced a huge problem with getting the I140 notice at home and had to file for duplicate and wait for 6 months to get that in hand :( :( Let us know when u get ur cards..

Carry a copy.. I agree, I don't carry it either, just carry a copy... Its toooo much of a pain to get it replaced, having waited 7 yrs to get it in the first place I don't want to lug it around everywhere with chances of losing it :(

Yep we recd the approval notice a couple of days after receiving the green card in mail. It looks like any other approval notice e.g. EAD/AP approval notice, etc..

My namecheck was pending for approx 2.5 years and they just approved the case.. It seems like a lot of old timers are getting approvals, so it might be working..

That's prob ur fingerprints. I think it expires every 18 months or so.. Sometimes it does get automatically renewed though..

Received cards in mail!!!! Process complete!!!! My spouse and I received our cards in the mail today, 6 days after approval emails. What a relief!!!!!!!!! Anti-climax is that the card is NOT green in color :) :) This forum has been so helpful to us in so many ways, its just amazing...

I think its a good idea to call them and check to see if the cards have been mailed. I got another LUD today with no change in message, still says 'approval notice sent'.. And still waiting for the cards..

I got another email this morning that says 'Approval Notice Sent on May 10th'...

VA_GC_CASE, I received the 'card production ordered' email next day after receiving the 'welcoming permanent resident' email. Never received any other email. Still waiting for the card. From some other threads, it seems lilke it takes 1-2 weeks after receiving the approval emails.

Hang in there Hang in there folks, I am an old-timer that just got approved yesterday... Had no hope of this at all... But its coming.... I hope all the old timers get the GC soon...

I really hope what ur saying comes true, am sick and tired of this process.. I don't know though why I see the EAD/AP LUD cos I had just renewed both in Jan 2008.. Enjoy ur well deserved GC, just go out and celebrate today :) :)

Congrats Wonder when my approval will show up...... I485 was filed in Jan 2006 and have PD of Dec 2000... It is sooooooo frustrating to go thru this processssssssss!!!!!!!!!! I had an LUD on 05/04/08 on my I485 and on 05/05/08 on EAD/AP.. But see nothing after that... :( :(

Some folks got cleared in 5 months I personally know a couple of folks that got their namecheck cleared in more than 3 weeks but less than a year.. around 5 months.. So don't take a few words from the immi officer at 100% face value. Moreover the entire namecheck process seems to be changing...
