I heard from my company immigration dept. that they received RI for around 30 cases upto May 2003 but not for my case :( Any idea how long it take from RI to LC approval? Anyway hopefully DBEC is moving and this is a good thing!

I'm planning to move to Canada. I live in Texas and hoping to drive all the way. My friend who is on the way, wanted me to stop by his place for couple of days. So I wanted to know if my stay would be deemed illegal? I'm planning to come back to work in USA on H-1B after an year.
