I am not request anything for myself for now. But realizing my dealing with USCIS is not over yet, any delay in processing my future petition will be taken care of seriously. :D
14susha,
This is about rights. If you don't ask for it, there would not have been Ngwanyia v. Gonzales class action. I am sorry that you did not ask your rights sooner. But that doesn't mean that other people could not do it. They have every right to ask judicial review, just like what...
What's wrong with some cases that really need to be expedited?
I am the one who looked at his entire complaint and exhibits, and quite frankly found his complaint very compelling. If I were USCIS, I would approve his case today, otherwise the judge is poised to issue a strong-worded opinion...
Some countries are very nosy about what you do in U.S. India is one of them. I got all but nice smile in Indian Consulate in NY just to get a visa for a business trip. I am not an Indian (it is so obvious) but still had trouble in getting that damn visa....
Also,
I always question somebody calling D.A. office only two-weeks from filing, because:
Mostly likely, they haven't read your case because they have enough time ahead.
I won't show that much anxiety to resolve the case. The more anxious you are, the more likey they think they can...
Buggin,
When I was in District Court last Wednesday, a nice Pro Se clerk told me that sometimes U.S. Attorney did not inform the Plantiff that they filed for extension. That could be why. I couldn't believe they will miss the deadline.
Nothing serious. They just want to know whether I have NP and RTD in my possession and the underlying reason for using both of them. RTD is like a passport..... How about sending them your cousin in Mexico's photo when you are applying for RTD, and he can enter U.S.? RTD is in fact easier...
You don't have to pay but it lasts only one year.
Why don't you get unrestricted SSN? Bring all ORIGINAL paper and be prepared to hear "We need to verify your info." But that will solve your employment authorization problem, for good. Well, SS card can't be used as an id, while the EAD can.
Don't bother serve in person. You have to Fedex your friend and he has to Fedex you back. Just want a little bit patient, yeah? I know you are excited. :) Oh, you can pay Wantmygreencardnow to serve them, I kinda of remember he lives in D.C. :D Plus, he works for U.S.P.S. :D :D...
You are welcome. :)
Soon, you will find the DA is professional and courteous. Anyone except Immigration looks like they at least have bachelor degree. :)
Be aware though: The green card can take a while (I always suspect they intentionally hold it to delay the 60-day clock...
Try not to discourage you, but will you just spend 350 bucks and file. From what I heard, they really want to see the court stamp before acting. :)
If you feel so compelled to give them some warning, mail your package to USCIS Office of General Counsel in Washington, D.C. Be sure to...
With all the due respect, I disagree that "it could backfire." If it is not resolved within 60 days (or whatever the extension they seek.), it goes to trial. and you can always retains an attorney (if you really need to). Even if you lose (which is as unlikely as they approve you within...
Want,
I think the good thing in this country is that we have segregation of government. They'd better not go across the line too much, otherwise we have judicial review. I haven't seen any failures in filing mandamus action, well, except for terrorists, criminals.....
The sad thing is...
Consider it as a store credit.
you go to Macy's and apply for their credit card. the cashier hand you a receipt "you are approved", you can immediately go for shopping and do not have to wait for the physical card.
Want,
I think it is a quite vague area that USCIS should address. But I think the primary reason for that is every case is different. Let's say someone got asylum because his village is hostile to him for whatever reason, but the persecution is not from the government. Can he renew his...
The story would be more scary if your RTD appear in conjunction with NP. The U.S. Immigration interogated me for almost an hour in Canadian border and someone knocked my door later. It is no big deal if you tell them why you need to do that. They always say that "concealing material fact...
