You have a personal liar? Guess the world is becoming even more specialized than it used to be. No longer the need to say "The dog ate my homework", all you have to do is turn around and hand it off to the professional who can spin with the best of them. (J/K :D)
Your lawyer probably asked...
I thought the marriage prior to filing 130 was a given considering the fact that the thread dealt with 'wife'. Appologies if my implicit assumption wasn't explicit enough.
freeviews,
Just for the sake of an argument, your concept of "intent" is bang on! But where you are mistaken is on two counts:
1. AC21, which precludes "intent" and allows for change in job from sponsoring company,
2. The extra ordinary delays that 02, 03 applicants have faced in their...
Contact the FP center you went too, take the FP notice they gave you and ask them to initiate an inquiry. Surprising that the information was not transfered, the FBI is EXTREMELY prompt with this kind of activity and FP centers usually transfer the data via secure digital link.
This is cause...
HEY HEY HEY! :) FINALLY! Glad to see your approval. Congratulations on the great news. And another one bites the dust. I think the stables are almost clear of the active old timers now. Just a couple more left, after which we should all get together and PARTY! :) Waiting eagerly for those...
:D Sometimes good things happen to bad people. :D
But the experience and advice still stands. Don't worry too much about LUD's they aren't worth the bandwidth they occupy. Here is the process I followed, again, not sure if it garnered my approval, but it definitely dint harm it:
1. Send a...
max2k1,
Actually you are right, coming here and THEN getting married is a better bet than coming here on a visa. It will reduce the headache of filling out the DF156 which asks for relatives in the US.
Found it very ironic that getting the GC has been giving problems to so many people. :)...
Other than GC + passport, you don't need any further documents.
Wac-ed_in_CA,
It is usually complusory/customary for the immigration officers to 'welcome' you back. Most times they are good about it, not sure if it matters whether you are a citizen or just a PR, but I guess I would be...
After sending my fax to INS, there was no change in LUD, but about 30 days later it did change. Shortly after which I received a letter from INS dated around the time of the change, asking me to STOP bothering them with my faxes.
So my 'guess' would be on the lines of fax inquiries not...
Congratulations! The list of old timers is getting thinner on a daily basis and that is simply terrific. Glad to see your approval, it has been a long time coming. :)
Pleasure is all mine, Good luck for the future and god bless!
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to expedite interview scheduling. :( Having said that SJC seems to be on fire these days with interviews being granted in most cases within 4-6 weeks. Unless you get a bad service center for an interview you should be hearing something SHORTLY.
There...
You will need to file AC21 since you are clearly being asked for EVL which will not make sense without the AC21 alongside.
Hard luck, but atleast your case is moving somewhere.
Unfortunately there is no short cut. I130 is the only way to go. Hard luck for the poor guy.
Alternatives:
1. The wife-to-be comes to the US on a different visa, H1/L1/J1 BEFORE a I130 is filed. After which I130 should be filed.
2. Postpone marriage to comprehend the ramifications of this...
AC21 is NOT like AR11 for the simple reason that the INS hasn't bothered to put forth final clarifications on the AC21. And going by their current stated position, they consider the AC21 pretty much wasted and useless. With concurrent adjudication and 6 month adjudication being the goal now AC21...
No one can stop you from believing what ever it is that you wish to believe. But if personal experience is anything to go by, I know tons of people (including myself) who have received their approvals despite belonging to companies that have had massive layoffs, with no extranaous time as...
Agreed! Usually you don't provide copies of any documents. The last few times I have submitted my I-9 all I had to do was show the original document. The moron at HR was probably supposed to photocopy it, but dint. So I guess it isn't that important.
But if you had to submit something I...
