FP 2 done on June3 FBI did not receive it ???

Hello All,

We did our FP2 on June 3. My status still shows "on Apr .. RFE received .." and spouse's updated to "FP received .." I am the primary applicant.

I called FBI to check if they cleared my FP. They are telling the only time they received FP for me was in Feb 03, thats my first FP and asked me to call INS.

I called CIS customer service and they are saying "FBI handles each cases individually, they won't be able to tell if they received or not ... there is nothing to be alarmed .. your case haven't been rejected ...wait and you will see something soon " ??????

I am really worried now .. Whats going on and what should I do ???

Contact the FP center you went too, take the FP notice they gave you and ask them to initiate an inquiry. Surprising that the information was not transfered, the FBI is EXTREMELY prompt with this kind of activity and FP centers usually transfer the data via secure digital link.

This is cause for concern if the FP center does not help you promptly and you might want to involve your lawyer in this.

You have done everything in your control. I would suggest that you wait for a few days and call USCIS 800 number again on Tuesday or Wednesday and explain your situation. Tell them the status changed for your wife and not you the primary. Don't tell them about your checking with FBI until you gather all the facts from USCIS if you can and then tell them that you are aware of FBI information. My $0.03.

i am also in the same situation.I did FP on sep 22nd and called the FBI about the result and they say that they have never received the data from INS till now.I dont know what to do.

Can you share your information whom you contacted and what they said.Did you tried going to ASC center and what is their response.please share your information as i am going to follow your path.

Hang on, and call the FBI number again on wednesday. It does take a couple of days, and you you are not too far out of normal range.

Here were my dates, for you to guage:

Did FP at San Jose ASC 9/11/04
Called FBI FP Check 304-625-5590 9/16/04
They said they received prints, and sent to CIS same day, 9/14/04
LUD only changed on 9/20/04, stating FP results received on 9/18/04

I don't think there is any need to wait. The FPs are sent the same day to FBI and FBI gets the check on FP done the same day and send the results to the service centers. However, the service centers take some days to update and always update receipt with a day which is later than the actual receipt date. Inquire ASC immediately with the form that was given out saying that FP was taken on this day at this center.

Don't wait for something to happen. If possible always try to make it happen. God knows when the currently opened floodgate is going to get closed again.
