With your EAD, you can work. If you choose, you can have more than one H1B. I had three H1B last year, which is perfectly fine.

misdemeanor charge and impact on VISA and Green Card

I think it is up to the employer most likely. There shouldn't be an issue for GC. However, you will have to go through an interview at USCIS Local Office.

'changing job' after GC: my lawyer's input

'changing job' after GC: my lawyer's input

As long as 'six months' from the receipt date of I-485 passed, it should be fine. I would take my lawyer's input if I am to move on. You may want to find your own lawyer if you have any doubts. Thanks

'changing job' after GC: my lawyer's input

True... This is a response from my lawyer. "Waiting 'six months' from the receipt date of I-485 is a practice not a regulation, and the actual time you need to remain after the green card is not codified."

    Interview schedule at local office

When your I-485 case was transferred to a local office for standard interview, is there a way to get the interview schedule earlier, or do you just have to wait until the local office sends a letter with interview appointment? I think it would be the latter, but was wondering if one has any...

'changing job' after GC: my lawyer's input

I understand this topic isn’t a clear one to be answered. I got the response from my lawyer and wanted to share. There is no set rule as there is no date set forth in regulations. I always advise that you wait 6 months to change employers if possible; however, if the employee has been with...

    Social security number

I got a new ssn card with the same SSN with "no restriction words" on the card two weeks ago after I got my GC. You need to go your local SSA with GC and your old SSN card. They will mail a new one to you in a week or so. It is a very simple process. :)
