Probably a mistake... It is better to check it out. Ask your lawyer. It should have been from Nov \'01 to ???. My H1 expired in December, applied for extension in October but approved only in January. But the approval shows as December 01 to ....

It works.. But attach it with a letter from your lawyer and let your lawyer handle the communication.
