I was planning trip to SA starting with peru, almost bought my tickets, turned out they don't accept travel docs, I am glad I checked. The good thing is there are quite a few countries where PR's don't need any visa at all :)
Here is the list of countries I know of that only allow entry by 'national' passport holders (i.e. have to have passport, not a travel document)
