Well my green card is really worn out. So I was asking what would be the backup plan in case that officers couldn't read the card because of damage of the back metal strip.
Good thing it can be replaced :-) Is there somebody whose GC had to be replaced for the "wear and tear" problem?
If you lose or seriously damage your GC, can you just file some form and let it replace? Is there such possibility? Or you have to wait those 10 years at least?
If it's possible, are you getting new alien number or exactly the same card?

say, one is filing for re-entry permit that needs to be delivered to U.S. embassy/consulate overseas.
Question:
How accurate do you need to be with the address? There are just 2 fields for embassy or consulate : "City" and "Country".
Is it OK if I just write, say, "Paris"...
Somebody said it's possible to do early walk-in to ASC prior to scheduled date ? If so, do you guys know, whether you can visit different ASC office for that purpose (in another city) ?

I'm LPR long time. Last year I applied and got my re-entry permit, however I never left USA except for a couple weeks.
My re-entry permit is going to expire early next year 2011. Does this permit have any affect on my naturalization N-400 ?
