Stolen Alien Registration Number

I printed AR-11 form with my name and address and this piece of paper was stolen from my office along with some money and other not so important papers.

On the form AR-11, there is name, address, date of birth and alien registration number. Quite sensitive information. I wonder what somebody could do with that information in worst case?

Is that possible problem ?

I do not see a big issue. Keep a watch for identity theft (free reports are provided by credit bureau for this purpose).
In today's world, I believe all our name+address is public (very hard to hide it), and the only extra thing this person has is your GC #. If someone wants to use it (just the number), they will need some kind of ID to go along with it.

Maybe somebody could use GC # for changing the address using online AR-11 for me. Hopefully people are not spiteful.

A# aren't used for credit purposes, so you wouldn't see anything in a credit report.

What they might do is use it to construct a fake green card or EAD, so they can show it to employers and if the employer uses eVerify the A# will match what is in the system. But that probably won't work unless they also have your SSN.

Yeah. Hopefully I'm just paranoid and this will not be my case.

It's a lesson, next time be extra careful even about photocopying.
