    Looking for recuiters in US

Having in-demand skills is certainly beneficial. But how does putting a spotlight on the impending legal-work-status challenges help someone like RodneyK? If he's not getting interviews already, the last thing he needs is to give employers ANOTHER reason to reject him before talking to him...

    Looking for recuiters in US

Sure a recruiter can help. But if you're not getting ANY response, the problem is also partly due to unattractive applications. You gotta review, fix, and constantly refine your job hunting process. As for location, get a mailing address within the area you are seeking work.

    Real Estate License

Going to school - yes. Getting a licence - maybe ? it depends on licensing requirements. Often licensing requires authorization to work as a Realtor, which you would not have from your TN Working as a realtor - Not allowed on your TN

TN Visa rejected, what to change

It's disturbing to hear this trend of agents giving 1-year TNs when the applications being presented are asking for 3-year permits.

    Thanks, that makes sense.

    TN Status for Management Consultant

Sounds like you simply need to get & keep employment verification letters. Once you have them you can re-use them forever. I use a previous employment offer letter paired with my termination letter from the same job.

TN holder also working in Canada with non-TN US clients

Your TN work permit is not really relevant to your tax situation. It mostly depends on your residency statuses & your relationships to your clients (contractor vs. employee). It sounds complicated enough you should simply hire a cross-border tax accountant to sort everything out for you. Most...

Does TN Transfer Need to Wait for Approval?

TN permits are never transferred. Every new employer = a new TN permit must be obtained. Your post says "different job" but doesn't say "different employer". Are you changing employers? If you want to work for a new employer immediately, then you should take your material to the border, leave +...

    Canadian ties

I have always included a recent canadian bank statement showing enough funds to support myself for a few months. No idea if that had any effect on my approvals. But you may want to open a canadian bank account for that purpose if you don't already have one.

    TN_Denied

It is a mistake to use the same materials for another application after the first one was denied. Border officers hate it. A job offer describing the job duties is a necessary part of a TN application. I don't know what kind of help you think anyone can give with that?

Anyone got TN in the economist category recently?

If it were me, I'd want to find out what the RFE was for before making a new application. The border officer may ask for the same evidence and if you don't have it, then you're stuck outside the USA. I have no idea whether there's any peril to applying at the border for a TN while you have a...

TN Visa rejected, what to change

This may indeed work; if the officer is not suspicious this is the same job being offered with fake job duties being listed. Obviously the risk is that the lie will be discovered and then he could easily be barred from future TN applications or even from entry.

    DIRECT REPORTS - TN

I don't doubt websites list this as a recommendation, but lots of websites list lots of baseless concerns. A website author doesn't gain reputation or generate business if they don't purport to have cautionary wisdom. "thank goodness you asked us for advice, you almost made this big mistake!"...

    DIRECT REPORTS - TN

Sounds like a typical rumour, where people repeat cautious advice to frequently they start to believe repetition = verification. I am skeptical because my lawyer's office is right on the border; he visits the POE a few times a day; and his business has MANY TN permit holders. Of the many...

Chance of getting TN in my case?

BTW, to reiterate what others have said: - Being naturalized vs. born canadian: irrelevant - Being declined for a TN: doesn't cause any issues with future border crossings

Chance of getting TN in my case?

This is the important part others have missed..! You must have an accredited evaluation + translation of your degree. I don't know who does that, but I heard it takes a few weeks and costs a few hundred dollars. Once complete, your degree in "Economics" surely would be appropriate for you to...

TN Visa rejected, what to change

I am not surprised; "Business System Analyst" as a title certainly implies you're tasked with improving business systems, and not computer systems. If your job duties truly match the CSA job description, then the company's decision to use that position title is mystifying. That is a really...

TN Visa rejected, what to change

The letter you attached makes it clear & unambiguous that your offer is software developer. That is not a 'computer systems analyst' offer. The only adjustment you can make is to apply for a different job with different job duties. BTW, bogus CSA applications like yours are the reasons that...

Evidence for Change of Status to TN1

I've never done an I-129 application but why would you suspect the supporting documentation for a TN application is different than at the border?
