ok so i got my approval notice in the mail today and i was surprsied to see its only 1 paper ....the thing i was waiting for !!!!!!!!!!! the notice proper and 2 little parts below!!!! and the photocopies of LCA and I 129..... is that it or am i missing somethign?

I change my status from F 2 to H 1 on 26 June 2006. When is the earliest I can apply for a SSN ? Can I do this is the second week of June?

in our state alabama, we have to produce a social security denial letter where they mention that we are not elig for ssn cos of visa status. i didnt need itin for my license. good luck

I will be starting a 4 year residency on H 1 in july 2006. When i go for a job , i will have only 2 years remaining on H 1 . Will this be enuf for me to start my GC and stay here without having to go back to my country? Also my husband will have a job on his H 1 this year. IF his GC...

is it true that the 6 yrs of H 1 are combined for spouses...i mean if i do 2 years of H 1 and my husband starts his after 2 then he gets only 4 yrs for his H 1?

hey thanks for the reply. i am on F 2 so i cannot take a degree course ,so no OPT for me . I have applied to progs that offer H 1 and J 1 ....but if not in the interview,when is the right time to bring up the issue of visa sponsorship with the PD? Thanks again
