Based on what I've read, you're far better off filing for I-130 as the change in priority date is caused by the low number of applicants ( like people filing for H-1 visas ). By the end of 2011, it might go back to where the situation once stood....
No. Include the receipt of your GC w/ your app and you can get a new one for free. Bear in mind that once your GC gets approved, you'll have to pay though.
That said, If I were you, I'd file for RP which is valid for 2 years instead of RTD.
So Marriage, approval of I-130, paperwork, visa, arrival in the US and then Physical GC in 30 days upon arrival. Am I correct?
Bear in mind, things are complicated as I'm a derivative asylee and I don't know if I can risk getting married at home. So I'm starting to wonder if I'll be better...

Has any derivative asylee gotten married at his/her COP? I might get married in near future and I just wanted to get some inputs on this matter. Will I be ok to getting married in my COP or would I be better off getting married in my neighboring country and filing for I-130?
Anybody care to...
Congratulations, Kkebero.
Gourel double 0 seven, yes you can travel while on hold. Your hold will have no effect on any benefits pertaining to your status as an Asylee.
Well, she's yet to apply for colleges. So I suppose, we'll just get married first and wait for her approval. She'll then eventually come to America and apply for colleges. I don't want this to become more complicated as you all have suggested. This is a legit and a valid relationship.
Thank...
There's no big rush but our parents want us to get "bonded" as soon as possible.
Jackolantern, She's yet to file for her F-1.
I'm absolutely clueless about the wait and what not thing. What's the normal procedure after getting married? I go back to the states and file for I-130? What will...
Triple Citizen, she doesn't have her visa yet.
She's going to the States w/ an intent to study, not to adjust status or anything. She's not gonna come here for Bachelor's but for Doctorate. I could always get married at home and file for her papers to take her to the States but I've heard that...
Folks,
I wish to get married. The problem is, I've got a GC while my significant other lives in my home country and is on a process of coming to the states on F-1 visa.
Which will be faster? Her coming to the States and then getting married or going home, getting married and applying for...
What about England? How long does the process normally take? I plan to fly into Amsterdam or Germany from India ( will use my NP for India, it's not my COP ) while I plan on using my RTD for my visit to Germany..
