Interview experience
Dear All,
I attended interview in Charleston, SC last week. But it was almost a joke. I was told that my A# I had been using belonged to someone else. During the interview, I saw that my files were in another applicant's folder. What we did during the "interview" was to...
Thanks a lot for all resonses
Dear all, especially TheRealCanadian,
Thank you so much for all the responses I received. I am going to the interview next week and I will post the results here. I wish I will get I-140 and I-485 approved at the same time.
Thanks again!

I140 is still not pending
I am sure my I140 has not been approved yet. But my I140 and I485 were transferred in July 2004. My lawyer thinks that this transfer is a mistake and that maybe my I140 will be returned to Texas center when I go to the scheduled interview in the local office the next...
My case is similar
Hi,
My case was transferred to Newark, NJ in July 2004 even though I am living in SC. But my lawyer told me that my fiiles had to be transferred to SC. So I sent a letter to Newark, NJ and my files were transferred to Greer, SC.
I think you may also have to do that...
Me too
Dear all,
My I140 (together with I485) was transferred to local office (Greer, SC) in July 2004. I went to that local office and the front desk told me that they process 140 and 485 together. But my lawyer told me this week that the transfer might be a mistake and my scheduled...
More detail
Dear all,
Thanks a lot for all the response.
TheRealCanadian, what do you mean by "if a visa number is available"? I am EB2 and working on EAD. I entered US on TN visa from Canada and kept my TN visa until I got my EAD. Does this mean that I don't have a visa number...
Dear All,
My I-140 and I-485 were concurrently filed at Texas center in Jan. 2004. But both were transferred to a local office. My interview is scheduled next week. Is it possible for me to get my I-485 and I-140 approved at the interview in the local office? I was told by my lawyer that it...

update
My I-140 and I-485s were concurrently filed with RD 1/29/2004. My I-485s and I-140 were transferred to NJ on July 9, and July 12, repectively (email). Nothing has happened since then. One week ago, my lawyer sent a letter to Texas, requesting them to transfer my case back to Texas...
nothing happened after being transferred 1.5 months
Hi there,
My I-485 and I-140 were transferred on July 9th and July 12th, respectively. Nonthing has not happened since then. I doubt that it is as optimistic as waht was posted above. But I don't have any idea about waht is going on...
Hi all,
I was told by Texas Processing Center that my concurrently filed I140 and I485 (Jan. 2004) were both transferred to local office in Newark NJ even though I am working in SC. My lawyer thought that is a mistake and sent a letter to ask them to transfer my case to SC.
I never know...
