EAD is the Employment authorization card. You could have had it by now and had your DL also.
My husband tried to get his DL in maryland and since he didn;t have his EAD yet he got rejected, but with it he could've gotten it right then. Now he has his EAD and SSN and can get his license soon.
I agree. Take a look at the "removal of conditions" form, you'd have to prove overwhelmingly that your marriage wasn't fake by getting people to sign affidavits and possibly testify for you.
Unless you're being abused- there are certain exceptions
For some reason we had the fingerprint appointment very early before our interview but still when we interviewed my husband had to give them additional fingerprints on some paper, we didn't read it but whatever it was we didn't ask. :confused:
Several possible problems
When you show for the interview you have to show your joint bills with your current addres (current according to what u have reported to them)
also at the end of th eyear when u file taxes, the banks and employers send your necessary forms to your new address and...

We had our 485 interview in Baltimore April 15 2004. At the time we didn't have a medical exam for my husband so we were told to mail it in or come back and drop it off.
We got the exam done and mailed it in, then received a response that our I-72 application might take 120 days to...
Good question, we are moving from MD to NJ and have recevied the EAD but no change in 485 status yet, even after our interview.
Hopefully it's not 1.5 years but if anyone has a better idea please post!
