Any 2008 DV winners from Iran???

Generally, CP is faster unless you get stuck at the Embassy with name check and security clearance [some folks are waiting for more than 3 months now without visa] If you have high number, generally CP is advised, since BCIS may not call you for AOS interview on time and complete your case...

Fellow Nigerians I have to do a follow-up to the comments made by Stann in his last post since it has been on my mind for some days. Are the people in this forum really Nigerians? All I see is a genuine willingness to help a fellow man. No bickering and quarrelling. The members research to...

Hard currency Keep up the hardwork and there will be a reward. Please take time to get US training/qualification/college degree because down the road this helps your job prospects- we don't all want to stay with minimum wage jobs. I could not help but to laugh when I saw your definition of...

Congratulations Congratulations to you and your wife. Somebody should have warned the Embassy not to mess with your wife during the interview; she knew her stuff and proved to be too much to handle for the Interview officer. The interview officer had no choice but to surrender.

Red flag I read in one of the posts sometime ago that one guy put the name of a child on his form which was not listed on his original dv lottery entry and the case was instantly diqualified; KCC did not even call him for interview. I can't find that post right now but I will re-post it when I...

Need clarification This uncertainty about your birthday is most unusual. We need clarification of this case since most of us can tell our birthday from nursery school. This could be a major problem because the embassy may see it as a case of multiple identity/ multiple DV lottery...

Take your choice You can switch to Georgia or anywhere else; just inform the immigration officer at your Port of Entry so that your Green card can be sent to Georgia and not Florida. KLM/British Airways are good; but no direct flights. North American Airlines have direct flights, but they...

Good situation You are in a good situation; you don't need a lawyer for this. Settle down and look at the threads for AOS and Consular processing at this site. There are magnificent posts by Catseyes, Barbara Lamb, Anahit, Jugnu-find and read them and LucyMO is our in-house Emeritus...

New Senate Bill- DV to be cancelled. This Bill to be voted on next Monday, May 21.

You are okay You are a good man; you are just being realistic. Imagine what would happen if all 6.8 million DV applicants for dv-08 flooded the US:eek: You are more of a pragmatist rather than a politician.

New Blog by Green Card Lottery Winner

Nice Nice site, great effort. Couldn't post a reply, though. With the uncertainties about DV with the new US immigration bill, dv2008 winners could become "DV-The Last Generation", [if I may borrow from Rick Berman and Gene Roddenbery's series]

Just a thought Let me suggest sending in your forms with the correct date of birth and give a written explanation of the mistake to KCC. Ask them for a written acknowlegement of the issue. This written acknowlegement can be presented to the embassy [if they raise any issue] during the...

Kindly call I will suggest to Galim and others that they shoul call/e-mail KCC or the Embassy anytime there is any issue bothering you. They have given you their phone numbers and e-mail. I come from a third world country where the regular mail service is notoriously bad. One guy mailed his...

    India - eligibility DV lottery

New DV rules In 2006, India sent more than 70,000 new immigrants to the US; that is more than the entire DV allocation for the whole world. Unless the DV rules change, India will still be excluded.
