    I-751 Proceedings Anxiety Attack

Andr0s, the letter you received is the standard one everyone's getting no matter how much evidence they submitted. If you have nothing to add to the package you've already sent, don't send them anything. When I was applying all I gave them was copies of joint bank account and of tax returns. And...

    I-751 Urgent Help

Hi Akshtray, What pink letter? All I got whas yellowish NOA that my I-751 was in process and it will take 330 days to process it (I know now days they issue different NOAs). Later I got the approval letter (just a white piece of paper inviting me to make an infopass and bring my old GC and...

    I-751 Urgent Help

Akshtray, your list of supporting evidence is very impressive. When I was applying for I-751, all I've included was a letter from the bank indicating that we have a joint account, copies of tax returns for 1(!) year and passport/GC copies. Well, during that time though they didn't ask for any...

Have Gc filing bankruptcy - how will this impact citizenship

Exactly. As long as you have paid your taxes, your financial status is your own business.

    I-751 Urgent Help

Akshtray, don't worry. This is the standard letter everybody gets now days. Just send them what they've asked for (photos and copy of GC). You can also send all the supporting evidence one more time, just to play safe, but I personally don't think it is necessary. What did you include in your...

    N-400 San Francisco timeline

Dear Vummi, My timeline is so damn similar with yours (13 June - priority, FP - 6 July), yet i haven't got any interview letters... Can you please tell me when your NOA for interview was issued and when did you receive it? Also, could you please share how many times your case status was updated...

When can we apply or a SSN??

Really? Hm... They won't give any SSN with K-1. Only EAD and GC counts. Well, at least they didn't give me a SSN when I was on K-1.

    USCIS sure takes their time.

Eddie, we are not talking about “a few days for an answer”. To sue because of just a few days of delay would be silly, wouldn't that be? I was refering to months and years. My apologies, but I don't quite get how lawsiutes filed by some applicants affect other applications? And how “immigrants...

    USCIS sure takes their time.

Dear Xenfinity, No problem. Just so you know, I had to wait for two months after my interview to get an approval letter. The delay occured because of the background check. So, don't get alarmed too soon - just wait. You are near the end of the whole ordeal. And good luck!

    USCIS sure takes their time.

Eddie, don't get me wrong. I agree with you and others in saying that patience is the key. And yes, some cases are being delayed because of missing evidence and etc... But that's not the point here. The whole idea of lawsiute is appropriate only, like I said before, if other legal channels fail...

    USCIS sure takes their time.

What's that supoose to mean? Eddie, we are not talking about every inconvinience here but the denial of right to reside and work legally. USCIS is gambling with peoples lives, and that's the problem. I am not saying they do it deliberatly, but while agents of bureaucratic apparatus digging for...

    USCIS sure takes their time.

Dear Xenfinity, I understand your frustration, but that's just how the system works. Do not get alarmed too soon - in your case it is simply to early. There are thousands of other applicants who had their interviews long before you did, and their cases are still pending. So just wait. I had to...

Is SSN required for opening Account

I joined my husband's checking account when I didn't have a SS#, only my European passport with K-1 visa. That's with the Wells Fargo. A friend of mine opened her accounts with Washington Mutual and Bank of America without any SSN# and with expired visa. As a matter of fact she was out of status...
