Yes, you can do that to enquire about your receipt notice. I did that and they told me that the notice is in the mail.

Do they ask for birth certificate at the interview ? Did they ask for birth certificate ? Do you have same name in passport, green card and DL ? If yes, then why did they ask for bitrh certificate ?

If you do not get the receipt notice within 30 days, you can call the 800 number and track your application by your A#. They will be able to tell you whether receipt notice is sent, fingerprint notice is sent etc.

How does the IO know about your traffic ticket if it was not mentioned in the N-400 application ? Was the traffic ticket within the last 5 years ? I do not think that they can find out anything beyond 5 years.
