Fingerprint Issue

We got a letter from USCIS that FBI can not read my wife's fingerprint, so they would like to schedule another fingerprint appointment in the ASC.

What is the guarantee that it will work next time!! Is there anything we can do (by applying any medicine etc) so that it works fine next time.

Let me know if anybody has done something to make it successful next time.
 
No guarantee. If after the second attempt the fingerprints are not legible, you would need to get police records from the places where you have been living.
 
Like McM says, some people have problems with FP. I read somewhere that using lotions/creams daily and wearing gloves while doing dishes helps, but am not sure.
 
How to obtain Police Clearance from previous states

Thanks. As we have lived in two other states besides the current state I am not sure whether we have to go to those places again to get the police record or it can be done my mail.

If anybody has any idea please let me know.

Why are you in panic? You may be worrying needlessly. They ask for PC only if the FPs don't clear.
