Yes but immigration is a federal matter. It always is grey area, for example the age of consent in some states is 14...but I bet you if you get caught having sex with a 14 year old you will get in trouble! Feds..especially feminist inclined, middle age, overweight women at the immigration...

What difference does it make if he interned illegally or legally? Once they get married and she files for AOS...he might have to pay a fine if he got here illegally.

I really doubt this. If one drove to Mexico( use a rental car) and flew to another country and then came back to the mexican border, rented a car, and told the border agent that he/she was out of the country 4 days only, they would not know any different. Those databases are not only not...

I think they were asking questions just to see if you flinch or act nervous...while they wait on the computer. I don't think they have information on where I have traveled and how long I have lived here.( I have lived in the US most of my life illegally and I always tell them " over 20 years"...
