My I485 was approved and have to go for stamping. Can someone explain me the process.
I have received the courtesy copy of approval and my lawyer has got the original. Can i go to stamping with my courtesy copy or do i need the original ?

My RFE was replied on Jan 10 and AVM updated on 01/17/2002. I have not yet got approval. I see some lucky folks in this website who have been approved with similar dates. Is it time to be concerned or give it few more days. How does it operate after RFE is replied ... how long does it take !

I got a RFE for I485 in Nov 2001. I replied in Jan 2002. I called up INS ( AVM ) to listen to status of my case. I was shocked to hear
the message.
The message said that it normally takes 330 to 360 days to process this...

Travel industry
The travel industry seems to be lobbying against it. In this economy , i doubt they would do it. It would be unattractive for most people to come to US if 30 day deadline is given especially retired members of other countries trying to visit US.

Change of address
I assume there are no risks in changing address after stamping passport. For example what happens if we lose/change jobs after stamping and before getting plastic card ? Also will post office forward the greencard if we have requested the post office to forward all our mails...
