I am in this date. No approval for roughtly a whole year so far

I need to extend H1-B status. I've spent H1-B for nearly 6years already. How many more time I could get by extending it year by year? Please help me for these questions.

I believe more than half of 2001 I485 applicants were approved last year and I believe I485 processing at TSC is completely a blackhole, and more than likely some officials are using I485 backlogs as a political tool to run against each other and we are just helpless victims. RD/ND Sep 2001

I heard from people tanking about opening up business under EAD, and there seems limitations. For one thing, if EAD is based on EB2/3, then the person is only supposed to do similar jobs as stated in LC?

I dialed 18003755283 and after I pressed option 5 (talking to a IIO or so), the line said it was busy and went dead. Anybody sees the same behavior?

Let us assume they arprove 4 cases each day and on, then the backlogged I485 cases (seen in the posts) in TSC could take how many years to clear? And what if new I485 cases submitted at a rate more than 4 a day?

In case AOS would be rejected eventually, applicants lose legal status instantly and would not have enough time to switch into other catagoroies, such as H1-B again.

we were just advised by company lawyer (and INS indirectly) that we should maintain legal status beyond that of AOS pending as long as possible, because of the uncertainties in I485 processing. Unfortunately I used up all H1-B time and have to use AOS status plus EAD to work. I will have to...

Assume special reg ended today, for those people submitted special reg today, TSC needs a couple of more months to clear up those special regs, so resources are not likely being released right away -- just my thought.
