By experience the interview should be around 4 to 5 month after the FP with the oath around 3 month afterwards pending on where in the process since last oath your interview happens.
My Timeline:
PD: 02/2005
FP: 04/2005
INTERVIEw: 09/2005
OATH: 12/2005
my wife:
PD: 06/2005...
Thanks for the info mpellon... what the heck, you're late hum? I was interviewed in Sept and Oath in Dec...my wife was interviewed in Jan... Didn't get any oath as of yet. Did you change your name during the process?
Cheers and thanks
My wife had the same problem in Miami...she was scheduled the day Katrina hit and later we got the letter one day after the FP date. She went to the agency and they didn't create any problem...take your mail with the date it was posted (probably too close to the FP date) and show at the door...
Hi all;
Let's post any new Oath cerimonies dates in Miami, please. I went through all the process but my wife is still setup for the next oath. Whoever gets a oath letter please post the date.
Tks
Check the requirement better... I maybe wrong but my application just required the last 5 years. If you don't have your passport for the last 5 years do as JoeF said and write down "to the best of my recollection". If you have to err is better add some more days to each of your trips but...
Despite not being correct what you did I would suggest you not to be more realistic than the King. If there is no record and no arrest was made or citation issued don't try to be more honest than it is needed or requested.
Take it easy and forget about it... it is like don't answer what is...
No problem at all once you don't miss any of your appointments (fingerprinting, interview and oath). I did it and the only thing I had to do was to add the dates to the form at the moment of the interview. They ask you especifically if you had any foreign travel after filling the N400.
Relax...
Congrats man. I know how you feel as I got mine yesterday... it is good isn't it? The better is that you had the same experience with the DO personnel as I had in Miami. Nice group of people and I wish all the INS personell would be the same. Now enjoy, you've got your Xmas present !
Cheers :D
I do not want to pose as a judge or debate about anyone reasoning but I can't let it go without saying that Johnny's postings are far more reasonable and fundamentally sound. As I've posted some here just need to share their emotions and grab some support and this anyone here can do.
Sony,
I've been reading your saga and you are one of those who can help a lot of other people with all the problems you went trough. I really hope you are close to the end of your story and that you succeed in the end.
My sincere wishes of good luck
Thanks Johnny. I did look around and from all the forums I've visited this is the best. Of course you have all types of people when you open doors but to be sincere the best you can do is forget about the ones who do not contribute and focus in the ones - and thankfully they are the vast...
Can't believe it but I'm now a citizen !!!! Did the oath today at the Miami Beach Convention Center with 3000 other. In two days they will be 12000 new US Citizens.
I would like to thank you all for the support and information. Please keep in mind that a forum like this is precious regarding...
Approximate dates as I don't have all of them here (maybe a day or two out of the real)
Apply N400 - 02/21/2005
Fingerprinting - 04/09/2005
Interview - 09/23/2005
Oath - 12/13/2005
Hope it helps.
I suggest you to set an infopass and verify if the letter is not lost in the mail since they are calling end of september already. Did the interviewer said that you were recommended for approval? Anyway, infopass now so that you may be informed what is happening. Do not despair as it seems to be...
Not complaining, got my oath letter...Dec 13th...and I have tickets to go visit my family leaving on the 17th.... does anyone know a way to get a passport this fast or I will have to forget about my trip? I'm not worried about the price I will have to pay as to cancel it now will be far more...
Just posted in another thread but it could go unoticed due to the caption.
I've just got my oath letter for Miami, Dec 13th. My interview date was Sept 23rd.
All in all 9 months of smooth sailing thru the immigration. A pleasant surprise. All went correctly and the immigration DO in Miami...
