    No Title Don\'t understand why petitioner for I-485 should be the same as for I-140. In my case, my university filed I-140 (EB1/OR) for me, and I filed I-485 for myself while my wife filed hers by herself. ars99

    No Title 2 months is far...far from "permanent" intention. INS has never had a right concept of time. No wonder some guys who submitted their I-485 in the past few months have already got their figerprinting notice, while other have been waiting for FP for more than one and half year...

    No Title Has INS ever checked somebody for change of employment after approval of I-485 or PP stamping? If your lawyer is right, it implies that INS checks your employment status most likely within 3 monthes after I-485 approval. ars99

    No Title Thanks. However, only God really knows how INS picks up and proceed cases. I saw several couples of cases with ND from Aug. to Oct. 00 got their FP notices while lots of guys applied one year before and their PDs are now current are still waiting for FP notices.
