EAD received for me and my wife RD 10/00 AD 12/00 received on 01/12/01

You Check AVM and it should say this case is approved and it will give
you the date when it got approved and then it will take about 5 days for the Card to arrive from that date. Mine 10/10/00 RD 11/13/00 ND and intiall approval was 12/15/00 and total approval that is when they mail your card and the above message was 01/06/01 and card was received on 01/12/01.

Thank you very much for your promp reply. What I understand from you reply is your EAD was approved on 12/15/00, but the approval notice and the card was issued and mailed to you on 01/06/01, is that correct? Between 12/15/00 to 01/06/01 did you check AVM and what did AVM tell? Is your EAD valid from 12/15/00? If yes, one can be put into payroll, even without an EAD card, once he knows the approval date through AVM.

You got it all right ars99 I checked AVM on 12/22 it said (after approving this case we requested a Card for you it will take 30 -60 days for the card to arrive). Something on this lines and then it changed to the message I posted earlier on 01/06. Yes my EAD expires on 12/14/01. I hope this clears the picture.

Could you please more details about your case. My RD was Oct/11/2000, AD was (accroding to IIO) Dec/28/2000. I haven\'t received the card and AVM hasn\'t changed either.
