titu, I am in the same boat as you are. My I-140 is approved and I had filed 485. But I am thinking of 824 and AC140. Can I file 824 and AC140 on my own with out attorny. My Attorny will be charging my $1500 for these two. What is needed to file 824

My LC and I-140 are approved. I had field 485 in Sept '03 along with EAD and AP. Hoping to get EAD an AP by next month. My 6 years H1B expires in March 04. How can I switch to CP. What documents, forms and time frame am I looking at ? Can I travel to India after March 03 for CP...

Last name of Spouse. What if the Spouse's last name is still the same and not changed after marriage. The Visa, H4 and passport all have the same last name(the one before marriage). For I-140/485 or green card do we have to change the last name .:rolleyes:

I-140 vs 485 I know we have talked about this many times, but Just checking to see what better as of today. I-140 takes : 9-10 months CP for interview takes 6-8 months So in All 16-18 months for GC. Does any one know how much time it takes for 485.
