EAD to AC-I140???

Can anyone provide input on the following?
If I have finished 6 yrs on H1 and am currently on EAD, would the filing of 824, cancel my pending AOS application AND my EAD?
I was looking at AC-I140 (Bombay) as a timebound, definitive method of getting my GC rather than the open-ended deadline that VSC seems to be following with AOS
My 485 RD is August 2002 at VSC .
Any help on this subject would be appreciated.
I also have an approved AP.

no probs

go for it.

your 485 EAD AP are not automatically cancelled. before the 824 is adjudicated, the USCIS will send you a letter confirming that you want to abandon 485 and go CP route.

file 824, and send AC140 once you get receipt. if AC140 is refused, you can always withdraw the 824 later and return to 485.

My 6years H1B ends in
Applied for EAD and AP and 485.
Have Lc and I-140 approved.

IF I switch to CP, and cancel 485, then does my EAD can cancled.
