Dear GA99 !
First of all It is a violation of law to pay less salary to an employee than what has been mentioned in i-485 application. No matter whether an employee is on the bench or engaged with a client. If INS comes to know about it, you may be in big trouble.
There are no...

If the status is secured then what will happen when INS issues the RFE for verification of employment? In that case if you can\'t produce verification or if there is any discontinuity in the employment then obviously I-485 will be denied. In my RFE they asked me for past 2...

As per the current law if the employer terminates the employment while you are working with him on H1 or Adjustment of status stage he will have to pay for your transportation expense to fly back to your country and also he is responsible for notifying the INS about the same, however...

Well !
As per the current INS attitude, they don\'t want you to look for the job. Instead it is expected that the jobs are coming to you because there are no American workers available for the required skills set. Few years back they used to give you 30 days grace period after...

Once you intend to change the job you have to inform the INS that you intend to do so and the employment letter and job description from the new employer. After that it doesn\'t matter what the previous employer does. The AC21 regulation will protect you. Immigration...

It would be safe to change your employer 90 days after stamping your passport although the employer is free to terminate your employment any time but if you already have your passport stamped then your are safe.

Are you sure that only courtesy copy of approval notice is sufficient.

Hi ksk !
I went through these postings and came to know the average time interval between stamping and plastic card arrival is roughly 2 - 2.5 months. But I can\'t say any thing about Philly in particular. Do you think 3 months is a fairly reasonable expectation based on your...

You shouldn\'t even attempt to get your passport stamped other than Boston. Do not go by any rumours. My attorney has strictly told me not to change the state of residence, otherwise as per the INS rules a new labor certification has to be done. Until you get the laminated plastic card...

Can any one confirm for sure that change of employment can take place in a different state also? If this is true that what will happen to the previous labor certification because labor certification is always valid for a particular State only?
Any ideas?
