Special effort: wrote a letter to Congressman on 6/1/01 and asked his assistance. When congressman contacted Philly INS they wrote him back with the usual bull of 10-12 months wait. I was disappointed. But, today I recvd the interview notice. So, I don\'t know what worked! But, I am breathing again.

Approved after 5 minutes interview

We went for our interview in Philly on July 25th. Waited for 1 hour after our scheduled time. The interviewer asked the usual canned questions about our involvement in any criminal past. Then, stamped our passport. I actually asked her if she wanted to look at any certificates... to which she replied jokingly, "May be when you come for your citizenship".

Thanks to this message board.
