this is a rare case. but I think you have never been 'out of status'. It is legal for you to work with H1b application receipt. It's not your fault that the H1b hasn't been approved. Work with your lawyer, should be an easy answer.

Lakshya, Did you get 'couple' RFEs for different family members, or get them at different time for one case? I am thinking what is the possibility they issue 2nd, 3rd.. RFEs. Nowadays I see most people get no more than 1 RFE.

485 is filed on your behalf, not employer. It is still possible to get 485 AD when you don't have a job, as long as there is no RFE for EVL. Anyway, all you can do is to find another job asap, with similar job content.

I sent it as-is to lawyer. I guess if you blacken the amount, INS can suspect you opened a joint account with 100$ :)

if you have clean record, maintains appropriate job, the chance of getting denied is very small. I guess there are many H1B holders bought houses. Take easy.

Rcv'd today. Asks me to provide evidence showing the marriage is 'bona fide'. Did anyone here get similar RFE before? We don't have kid yet, rent apartment on month to month basis, no lease. Really annoying, please help!

just a silly question came across my mind today. I saw a case with LIN number adjacent to mine (RD sept 03) got RFE today. Is it possible that my case is in same location, or even on same officer's table?

there is no firm requirement that you need to inform INS about your job change. if possible, keep your current address unchanged and you may get the approval without 2nd RFE.

my case is similar, I140 、485 RD Setp 2003. On Feb 25 my wife got a RFE for her I485. Could it be that they will approve our cases soon? Or just a regular check?

If receive the approval notice before leaving I would rather delay the trip (assme no urgent issue) and get passport stampted first.

I think once you find the case is approved, you can always come back with AP. It takes time to mail the approval letter to you, they shouldn't reject you just b/z yr case has been approved.
