FBI/ CIA Clearence
I thought that the FBI and CIA clearance is done only in the US. I didn\'t think that the INS waits for clearance from home country.
When the NSC VM says that the FP information has been received by the INS, does that mean the FBI clearence is already done ?????
Received FP notice
RD: 7/3/01 ND: 8/16/01 FP received: 1/14/02 FP scheduled: 2/8/02 for both of us.
The priority date on the FP notice is the same as my RD for some reason. I am not sure why ??
PD - 7/99, RD - 7/3/01, ND - 8/23/01 Still waiting for FP
Just changed my address with the NSC thru the Lawyers. Not sure how long it takes for the address change to take effect.
Received FP notice on 12/20/01
My friend received FP notice on 12/20/01. PD 06/99 RD 07/23/01 ND 8/24/01. FP scheduled for 1/11/02.
My details are PD 12/99 RD 7/3/01 ND 8/16/01.
Does this mean that NSC is processing cases according to the PD??. My RD is after his RD. But his PD is a month...
My friend is in India right now on a vacation. He was supposed to come back on the 21st of Sept. His advance parole expires on the 27th of september. With the way the flight schedules are, not sure if he can make it here on 21st.
Any suggestions as to what he could do to avoid any problems of...

I am also confused about the CSC processing time in the www.immigration.com website. But looking at the approvals in the CSC 485 discussion board, the service center is consistent with 6 months processing time. Wish NSC could be like that too...
CSC seems to be processing I-485 cases with RD of 12/2000. But NSC is still processing June 2000 cases. My assumption is that CSC has double the number of applications as that of NSC. So why is NSC so slow ???
How is INS resturcturing going to affect us. Will INS continue to work on Employment based I-485 cases as this resturcturing progressess ??
Any ideas .....
