You can apply for an iEAD My spouse got a RFE and the reply was received in August. It still hasn't been approved yet. But he just got an iEAD at LA local office.

It is for my spouse's case. Mine was approved in May this year. WAC-01-246- 1st FP 11/01 2nd FP 04/03 (after 1st one expired) This was the reply from an fax inquiry.

Anybody knows what it means that the case is being reviewed? Does it mean it is with an officer?

Congratulations! I have a question for you. Did you do sth, such as fax inquiry, to have your case approved? My spouse redid FP in April and the case is still pending although mine was approved in May.

Thank you for your warm congratulations. PCee, my last FP date was 04/30/2002. It was received by INS in early May, 2002. So my FP will expire in August this year. FYI, my spouse's FP expired and redid the FP in April. My spouse's case is still pending. I hope it will be approved soon.

ImmigrateMe, It's 15 months from the FP receive date, not the date you did the FP. How about the info from your HR? Is it accurate? Any comment?

FP will expire in less than a month. Can anybody share the experience if their FP got expired while 485 was pending?

I called INS in Feb. and an IIO told me my case was assigned on Jan. 29 and an officer was working on it. Later I got the inquiry respnse. I heard that the IBIS check is valid for 35 days (not so sure about the accuracy). For my situation, if the IBIS check is done, does it mean it is close...

Got the inquiry response from INS: "IBIS check completed. Case will be forwarded to adjudications." Anybody knows what it means? still waiting RD May, 2001 ND Aug, 2001 RFE received by INS in Dec, 2002

Hope this will help. If you call after 5pm, it takes less time to get through. I called last friday, it took me 10 min to dial in and 25 min to speake to an IIO.

On 10/29, inquiry reply from INS saying "Case is with an officer waiting for ..." On 11/07, RFE was generated.
