inquiry response from INS

Got the inquiry response from INS: "IBIS check completed. Case will be forwarded to
adjudications."

Anybody knows what it means?

This means that you are closer than yesterday but farer than tomorrow.

I guess next will be "case is with an officer waiting for adjudication...". However I got that answer back in Oct. 2002, and finally that jerk transferred my case to local. Wish you have better luck than me.

I called INS in Feb. and an IIO told me my case was assigned on Jan. 29 and an officer was working on it. Later I got the inquiry respnse.

I heard that the IBIS check is valid for 35 days (not so sure about the accuracy). For my situation, if the IBIS check is done, does it mean it is close to the final decision?
