I read one of your postings, I think which said your case was assigned on Sep 4. But if your lawyer last spoke with the IIO on August 20, maybe it's time to do another check.
Vengan. I may be wrong but I would like to assume that transfer to local office is decided before assigning a case. I am in Connecticut and here transfer cases wait for 8 to 12 months for an interview. I do not wish that on anyone.
Let's surround ouselves with positive thoughts to see...
Thanks Vengan for keeping me in your prayers. I am reciprocating. I think since our I-140 papers came only in August, they just moved on with other cases and left us behind. The audit could be kind of a blessing for us if there is no internal file movement;they should be left with little else...
Jst got off the phone with INS .Asked specifically about the I-140 papers form home consulate. Was told received in August .That explains why our case went into the processing area end of August. She said 30 more days, But this seems to be the standard reply. On Sep 11, I was told 30 more days...
And VC 123 are the ones with CP approval and we are all August filers. Lets keep this thread alive for information and steps we are taking to help our cases move on.
CP-AOS Can you tell me if now your papers are on their way back from the INS?
So far the IIo's have not raised this subject...
If you call up the National Visa Center and speak to a representative there ,they will tell you if and when the papers have been sent to the Consulate office of your home country. Like, I was told that my papers wetre sent in June 2001 to the consulate office.
Again I have seen cases on this...
gc frustrating. when the I-140 case is approved for CP the National Visa Center forwards it to Your home country consulate. The INS calls for it when your case is taken for processing. At least you know now that your papers have been called for.
I have a similar case RD august 23. My case is...
You deserve hearty congratulations. Thank God your wait is over. Also it means they have not forgotten remaining August filers. Hpoe the rest of us get the good news soon.
Does it mean we have to wait 60 days for our cases are picked up.On Sept11 I was told that my case had reached the processing area.
Also my I-140 was approved for Consular processing even though I had not asked for it. Anyone in the same situation?
