ShreeExpat,
Did you send your original I-94 card (attached to your PP) too, or did you keep the I-94 card with you when you mailed your PP to the Bristish Consulate for the UK transit Visa? Thanks in advance.
hoping4miracle,
Have you tried any of the following: (1) fax to TSC (2) have your lawyer contact TSC and (3) contact Congressman/Senator ? Since your case appears to be the oldest, seeing you get the FP notice will probably be the second most comforting thing to many of us (second, of course...
Do we know in this forum which is the case with the earliest ND which is yet to be touched (that is no FP, no RFE) ? As far as I can remember, hoping4miracle had a ND of March 02 and had not received his (?) FP notice up until his last post a few weeks ago.
Based on recent reports in this...
TSC never fails to surprise -- check this out!

ADDTX, first of all, congratulations! With this news, you just lifted my spirits.
2 questions:
1) Has your online status changed?
2) Did you do anything recently (fax, mail...) that may have resulted in the FP notice?
Thanks.
My guess is "such a date" for which TSC would expect to receive the fewest inquiries from Congessmen/Senators etc (you know, the 30 days passed kinda inquiries).
Sorry, but cynicism is all I am left with.
Your deduction follows a certain logic, but TSC does not work logically. That used to be a source of concern -- given your deduction, now it's a source of hope.
Personally, I don't think even TSC itself knows what it'll be working on for the forthcoming 3-4 months. It's in fire-fighting mode...
I sent a fax in Feb 2004 and a letter in March 2004 requesting FP. No response from TSC.
Last week I bugged my lawyer to contact TSC -- she confirmed having requested TSC to fingerprint me. Perhaps it's too early, but no response so far.
I don't know what else I can do but just wait for as...
Guys, I have re-entered two times using AP docs.
First time (Jan 2003) thru Atlanta -- both AP copies returned to me.
Second time (May 2004) thru Detroit -- one copy returned to me, other one retained by POE officer.
Bottomline: don't be surprised if you (don't) get back both copies --...
Does anyone know whether lawyers have direct telephone access to TSC ? Or is it that the only way lawyers can contact TSC (except the fax #) is thru AILA ?
bags3, I wonder if you have read the observation made by tms.
No one is questioning the need for security checks -- it's just that adjustment applicants are already in the US (unlike those consular process beneficiaries who get to enter the US only upon their GC approval) -- if they have any...
No trouble (unless your PP has evidence that you have spent time in the US while being out of status).
If you transit thru Amsterdam, then you don't need transit visa. I believe transit thru any other European city requires a transit visa (others can correct me on this).
In any case, at the end of Sep 2004, TSC will announce its official EB I-485 processing date as Sep 2002. Most of us will be yet to be finger-printed, but there'll be nothing that we we'd be able to do except for initiating inquiries to which we will be promptly told to shut up and wait for 30...
Well, it appears that the Service Center phone lines that will become available to us in the near future will NOT be staffed by USCIS personnel, but rather by contract workers (as the NCS lines currently are). So there you have it -- another superficial customer service initiative from the...
