That\'s hard to predict. In my case, group spun off after I-485 was filed. A new I-140 (but no labor) was filed. As per lawyer, if I-485 is approved without RFE. they won\'t submit the new I-140. If an RFE is generated e.g. for pay stubs, then it will be replied with pay stubs of new...

It is possible, especially if your I-485 still has the old company\'s name on it. It is a good idea to file an have an I-140 approved with the new name on it, proactively.

My gut feeling is about 60 days approx i.e. towards the end of April or first 15 days of May. In case your PD is current, it shouldn\'t take any longer than that.
While there have been ND:12/99 approvals, the approvals for 08/99 and 09/99 are still coming in. Based on that..

I know that HasanAli, and I am also in EB2 Other category.
As for the transfer, some cases of ND 01/14/00 have been transfered to INS Baltimore(EAC-00-075-53887, & 53892). I assume ours didn\'t merit a transfer and will be decided by VSC themselves.
Hope for the best.

Why: Because INS Service Centers select out a few cases (typically 10%) which are to be processed by local INS. No defined reason for this.
What: Depends on which local INS it is transferred to. May or may not expediate the case process. Typically delays it.

Sometimes cases are transfered without any pre-screening. e.g. Some RD 01/00 cases have been transferred to Balimore and I sure no one at VSC aver even looked at them.

San Jose does have electronic FP system. However, lately tyhey haven\'t been allowing FP before the appointed date. You may want to try your luck though!

BoxHat: Here is my observation:
1. Pre Sept 1999 Cases: FP notices were issues irrespective of country
2. Sept.\'99 - Dec \'00 Cases: FP were issues only to Country Other (including myself)
3. Jan - Mar \'00 - No FPs were issued
4. March 2000 onwards - FPs were issues on receipt...
