I agree with Al. I received my greencard over a month ago and my status on my I-130 never changed since day 1. So don't count too much on the online system, its very unreliable.
When i submitted my application i forgot to sign the checks (i've prepared them earlier and figured i'd sign em right before sending the package, and i never did). The returned the whole package to me, i signed them and sent it back, the whole thing cost a delay of 2 weeks, no biggie.
don't fool yourself, of course it matters and it'll raise big questions if you're not living together, i suggest find another job in MD, and save yourself a big headache later on.

I filed my I-130 and I-485 and received my GC not too long ago. My question is that i never received a notice nor an online status update on the I-130 since it was mailed. Should i just forget bout it since i already got my GC or should I contact USCIS and make sure its not pending...
oh forgot to post. i was out of town the first week of January and when i came back on the 7th, The GC was waiting on me.. :D
oh btw, there was no online updates and my I-130 never got updated since i mailed it, its still sayin you application was received on whatever. so i wouldnt count too...

11/14/06 - Notice date for request for interview (interview letter)

just to let u guys know my status. I had my interview in Charlotte on December 4th, which got approved. I received my welcome notice around a week or so after and i been waiting since on the GC (i received an email on the 9th said the GC was ordered). I'll let you guys know when i get it
