Wrong question
I think we are all asking ourselves the following wrong question:
"Did the NSC make a mistake?"
I believe that the correct question we should be asking ourselves is:
"How big a mistake did the NSC make?"
Followed by:
"When will the NSC make the next big mistake?"
And...
No way
I think they left off some zeros:
It should have read 300 - 900 days.
If they did make this typo, it will be the first time they have told the truth in this regard since 1999.
:D
You are being a brat. But then again you worked for it, suffered for it, earned it and I think you might as well enjoy it. I feel like being a brat too, but can't think of anything bratty to say offhand...
:D
I agree with your sentiments. The article was clearly written before the August stats were available. The fact that they didn't bother to post it until now simply illustrates a degree of incompetence and a lack of respect for the people they affect.
I have been wondering if there were any other August waiters but there have been no replies to this thread. It seems you are on your own. Bad place to be I guess. I am a March02 waiter, but I figured I would drop you a note of encouragement anyway.
Congratulations, you get to leave this NSC circus and go back to a normal, stable life without the threat of having you life screwed up by people who don't care if you live or die.
Thanks, I had not read this. Things are starting to look up since the end of the religious worker priority. From what I understand, the USCIS might be nearing the end of the audit of past cases. Maybe we'll start seeing some more approvals.
Yep, I think we are about to see some action...
As far as I can tell, the USCIS has had two hold-ups in the last few months:
1. Religious workers.
2. Ashcroft's commands to go back and review old cases to ensure that there aren't any 'bad' approvals.
I know hold-up 1 is over. If hold-up 2...
Update to LIN030
This is wierd. LIN030 shows only 2% approvals. It seems that the USCIS simply skipped this day in processing and carried on with later days.
I can't explain this one.
Summary Update
Thanks for the info Pork.
I have updated LIN040. There were over 10000 LIN's received by the old INS on this day, so it took me a long time to build a list of valid 485 LIN's. I think I am still missing one or two numbers, but it should be pretty representative.
I will...
Useful
Nice going. This is the first rational explanation I have heard for the disaster that is unfolding before our very eyes.
I understand that it is necessary to take the prescribed action but I do NOT agree with the way it was communicated (or in this case, not communicated)...
